Lake County Free Clinic will hold “Spring Into Wellness” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6 at the clinic, 462 Chardon St. in Painesville.

This free event will offer health screenings, including blood pressure readings, cholesterol and glucose readings, dental hygiene education, and mammogram resources. In addition, 14 local organizations, including University Hospitals, will provide giveaways and information on other health and wellness resources.

“We are excited to be able to offer these kinds of events for the community now that we have a larger facility,” Dana Locher, the clinic’s community engagement director, stated in a news release. “Our mission is to provide access to health care for those who are uninsured and underinsured, and many in our area do not know about the resources available to them.

“We’re hoping this event introduces our neighbors to agencies and individuals who can help them.”

The clinic’s services include chronic and acute medical care, including everything from infections and sprains to diabetes and hypertension and dental care, including exams, X-rays, cleanings, fillings and extractions.

All services are provided at no cost; through local, regional and national foundations, individuals and families in the community, and medical professionals, LCFC is able to provide about $11 in market value healthcare services, including prescriptions, education, medication and supplies, and medical and dental treatment visits for every $1 donated to the clinic, the release stated.
